Medway English Training CIC – A Community Interest Company
Medway English Training (METcic) is a social enterprise (a community interest company) based in Medway, Kent UK.
It serves the towns of Strood, Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham, collectively known as Medway.
It operates for the benefit of the community by providing educational services which will be of value particularly to people from minority ethnic communities, migrant workers and others facing barriers in the labour market.
METcic aims to:
- provide training, consultancy and educational services for people who wish to improve their employment and life chances
- provide training in workplaces which develop skills for life and regeneration
- promote community cohesion by increasing cultural awareness and equality of opportunity for groups disadvantaged in society
METcic has been awarded funding to run 'Steps to Volunteering' by Awards for All:
This is a project for Chatham learners to find out what is involved in Volunteering
as well as improving their English and Maths.
